Can't recommend highly enough for a quick layover
Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, providing a delightful start to our day with a variety of options, and the helpful staff worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed to unwind after our long trip to Cambridge Airport.
Was all great.

The proximity to the racecourse makes it a prime spot for racing fans, with a shuttle conveniently located right outside. The restaurant area looks pleasant, providing a decent setting for a meal after a long day.
The parking situation is a real puzzle—limited spaces means there's a good chance you’ll end up making a trek with your luggage. The room sizes vary considerably. I ended up in one that felt more like a closet, with no wardrobe space, leaving my clothes hanging on a rail instead. Noise from nearby nightlife can be daunting, especially if you prefer to sleep without interruptions. think about packing earplugs. The heating in the rooms can turn up the temperature uncomfortably, and opening the window just invites the chaos from outside in. An old building, it comes with the charm and challenge of narrow hallways and stairs, which might be tricky for anyone with mobility issues.

The reception staff was exceptionally helpful when we arrived late, ensuring we could park our car without any hassle. Our Deluxe Double Room was spacious, providing ample room for my family to relax after our long journey.
The overall appearance of the room could use some updates.

Loved the convenient location of Kings in Newmarket. Easy walk to the high street and nearby attractions. My room was surprisingly spacious and equipped with a microwave, which I found really handy. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help. I especially appreciated the warm service from the reception. the layout of the hotel was a bit confusing at first, and I noticed some noise from the bar area late at night, which could be annoying for light sleepers. a great place to stay, just be prepared for a little evening noise.

Ideal stay for a group of friends
Had a generous room with a kitchenette, fridge stocked with fresh milk.. that was a game changer for us. I was blown away when the chef served an evening meal that was both hearty and delicious, even when we arrived late!
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly.. but it was still worth it.

The room was clean and had a nice fridge, which was handy. The bed was comfy enough, but honestly, not a standout. I appreciated the extra breakfast supplies like bread and jams, gave it a cozy feel. But the noise from outside was a real bummer—it was hard to sleep! The shower was a letdown too, no pressure at all. It’s got character, just didn’t quite hit the mark for a restful getaway.

Charming atmosphere but noisy at night
I had a pleasant experience with the charming decor and friendly staff who made check-in a breeze. My room was larger than expected and even featured a kitchenette, which was quite convenient. the noise from outside late into the night made it hard to get a good night's sleep, which could definitely use some improvement.
